Art Gallery “Fourth Annual Juried Summer Exhibition,” featuring artists who live or work in Tufts’ host communities of Medford and Somerville, including Elaine Bay, Meg Birnbaum, N. Noon Coda, David Colombo, Brian Corey, Jesa Damora, Kate Gakenheimer, Randy Garber, Jane Goldman, Raul Gonzalez, David Harris, Bradford Johnson, Veronique Latimer, Joan McCandlish, Rachel Mello, Greg Mencoff, Sandys Moore, Riki Moss, Mary O’Malley, Tina Riedel, Geoffrey Stocking, Sarah Wentworth and Barbara Zeles. The exhibit is juried by Amy Ingrid Schlegel, director of the university galleries, and curated by Rachel Arouz. Aidekman Arts Center, through July 29. Tufts Educational Day Center sponsors its annual yard sale: toys, baby paraphernalia, clothing, household goods, books, white elephants. Day Care Center parking lot, 165 Holland St., Somerville, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

June 11
President’s Picnic
Tufts President Lawrence S. Bacow hosts his annual picnic for the university community. President’s Lawn, noon-2 p.m. Buses from the Boston campus to the picnic will leave from the corner of Harrison Avenue and Kneeland Street at 11:45 a.m. and noon. For the return trip, buses will leave Medford at 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. Rain date: June 12.

Sterling Lecture “Imaging Studies of Craving for Food,” Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, presents the 19th annual Sterling Visiting Professor in Pharmacology lecture in honor and memory of Dr. Louis Lasagna, former dean of the Sackler School.
