June Calendar of Events June 1 University Gallery Cristi Rinklin’s “Nuvolomondo” is a site-specific installation. The artist has conceived a large-scale composition derived from her painting in which images are printed digitally on Duraclear panels and then mounted into the windows on the ground level of the Remis Sculpture Court. In addition, the walls throughout the lower level of the court are embellished with ornate stenciled vinyl and wall painting. Inspired by her recent visiting artist and scholar residency at the American Academy in Rome, Rinklin’s “cloud-world” installation is a “techno-ornate” burst of color and form. It is a contemporary interpretation of Baroque ornament and architectural details, including stained glass panels and elaborate wall treatments.
