Alexandra Kramer, A06, helped organize the “volunteer vacation” through
the Leonard Carmichael Society, Tufts’ student-run volunteer organization.
“I was so lucky that I didn’t have to experience something like that,
but at the same time, it made me realize that I really wanted to do something,”
she said.
They worked in Pass Christian, Bay St. Louis and Waveland, tiny towns that have received little media attention or aid.
