Hispanic students like what they find at Tufts

Tufts is one of the top 10 colleges in the country for Hispanic students, according to a new set of rankings published this spring in Hispanic Magazine.

“Academic excellence and Hispanic achievement lead the list of qualities” evident at Tufts and other schools on the list, according to the magazine, which has a circulation of 260,000. “We looked for superior centers of higher learning where Hispanic students are thriving,” the magazine reports.

With Latino students comprising eight percent of Tufts’ undergraduate student body, the university has the fifth highest concentration of Hispanic students on the list, which also included Stanford, Harvard, MIT, UCLA and Columbia.
