JULY 1
Athletics Facility Hours Summer hours through Friday,
August 13, are Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday
from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday,
from 4 to 8 p.m. Facilities will be open on Sunday July 4, from 4 to 8
p.m.
University Art Gallery Tufts’ first annual “Juried Summer
Exhibition” presents the work of 20 area artists who work in a variety
of mediums, including photography, painting and mixed-media sculpture.
The exhibition, which was juried by the new gallery director, Amy Ingrid
Schlegel, is free and open to the public and runs through August 1. Gallery
hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information,

and for children presents “The Witches,” a play adapted by David Wood
that is based on Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book. It is the fantastical
story of a boy and his grandmother who stumble upon a national convention
of really real witches. Balch Arena Theater, Aidekman Arts Center, shows
at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $7, and group rates are available.

written by local playwright Charles Munitz. Appropriate for all ages,
this humorous and heart-warming tale follows the path of a young prince
who is too busy to meet girls, a young girl who has no time for the local
trouble-makers and a local trouble-maker who is busy causing as a much
mischief as he can. Mistaken identity, chase scenes, a bear and a wedding
all add to the magic, music and mystery. Balch Arena Theater, Aidekman
