AUGUST 1
Athletics Facility Hours Summer hours through Friday, August 13, are Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.

University Art Gallery Today is the final day to view Tufts’ first annual “Juried Summer Exhibition,” which presents the work of 20 area artists who work in a variety of mediums, including photography, painting and mixed-media sculpture. The exhibition, which was juried by the new gallery director, Amy Ingrid Schlegel, is free and open to the public. Magic Circle Theater New England’s oldest theater by and for children presents “HONK!,” a musical based on the story of Ugly (the duckling), whose odd, gawky looks are ridiculed by family and friends. Ugly sets out in search of a new home and discovers the true meaning of beauty—and of acceptance and love. It is the fantastical story of a boy and his grandmother who stumble upon a national convention of really real witches. Northeast Veterinary Conference Hosted by Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine and the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association, the conference features a slate of nationally recognized speakers, 150 hours of continuing education, hands-on wet labs, veterinary exhibits, an equine practitioner program and a technician program. Mistaken identity, chase scenes, a bear and a wedding all add to the magic, music and mystery.
