National Library Week
Tisch display features reflections of Tufts community What’s your favorite book or library-related memory, use or quotation? Answers to this question are on display in the Tisch Library lobby through April 30 in celebration of National Library Week (April 6-12). A number of Tufts students, faculty, administrators and staff responded to the question with varied and interesting contributions that will likely remind visitors of favorite books and library experiences of their own. Photographs of library scenes accompany the texts on display, and a drawing for prizes to contributors will be held during National Library Week. Tisch Library has sponsored displays and events in honor of National Library Week for the past several years. This year’s exhibit gives voice to the appreciation of books and libraries arising from the personal experiences and reflections of people at Tufts. “Our nation’s libraries…play a vital role in providing millions of people with the resources they need to live, learn and work in the 21st century,” the American Library Association said in proclaiming this year’s National Library Week.
