TUCC seeks project proposals

The Tufts University Center for Children is seeking proposals from undergraduates and graduate students for projects focusing on children or young adults. Between five and eight projects will be selected to receive awards ranging from $500 to $1,500, and projects can serve as a senior thesis or graduate student project if approved as such.

The deadline for proposals is November 1, and decisions will be announced on December 1. Projects must be completed by April 28, 2003.

Project criteria include: The work must have some relevance to children or youth; result in a product that goes beyond what would be done in a regular course, such as a research report, survey, video, visual/art project or community-oriented endeavor; students must have a faculty advisor supervising the project; and students must submit a proposed budget, timeline for completion and a basic plan for doing the project.
