150th events

What's on tap for the sesquicentennial

FEBRUARY: See Tufts College as it was from 1915 to 1940 by visiting the Tufts University Gallery from February 21 to March 24, when more than 100 photographs by Melville Munro, E04, will be featured.

MARCH: Anne Sauer, J91, G98, assistant archivist for reference and digital projects, will talk about Tufts University, a new picture book about the university, on March 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Tisch Library.

APRIL: On April 16, a sesquicentennial symposium, "The Philosophical Bases of Biological Thought," will take place at Tufts School of Medicine.

On April 17, the Tisch Library hosts a Rooftop Cafˇ on the library roof. Students, faculty and graduates who would like to participate can contact stephanie.stlaurence@tufts.edu

The inauguration of Tufts President Lawrence S. Bacow takes place on April 19. Visit the link at www.tufts.edu for more information.

From April 21 to 23, alumni involved in humanitarian aid will come back to Tufts for "Voices from the Field: Distinguished Young Leaders in International Public Service."

MAY: Plans are under way for a memorable 150th anniversary Alumni Weekend, May 16Š19, and for Commencement 2002 on May 19, the culminating event of the 150th celebration.
