Class of V05
10% of V05 class were Tufts undergrads
Eighty new first-year veterinary students, chosen from an applicant pool of more than 700, have begun their studies on the Grafton campus.
Nearly 10 percent of the Class of V05 received their undergraduate degrees from Tufts—the highest percentage in the school's 22-year history. Fourteen percent of the class holds advanced degrees—eight master's, two Ph.D.s and one M.D.—and 42 are Massachusetts residents. Another seven are from the other New England states, and 28 come from outside New England. Three are from other countries—Switzerland, Canada and Russia.
The most striking statistic about V05? Twenty-three are men—nearly twice the number of men the school has matriculated in recent years.
