University Gallery "Alumni/ae Juried Exhibition," featuring works of 45 Tufts alumni selected by three jurors, who viewed more than 150 entries. University Gallery, Aidekman Arts Center, through December 9. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5. Admission is free and open to the public. University Professor Lecture "Evolution, Culture and Truth," Daniel C. Dennett, author of Darwin's Dangerous Idea (Simon & Schuster, 1995), gives his inaugural lecture celebrating his appointment as University Professor. A member of the Tufts faculty since 1971, he is also Fletcher Professor of Philosophy and director of the Center for Cognitive Studies. ASEAN Auditorium, 4-5 p.m.
